Hair Challenges
Working with hair all these years, I have discovered no two heads are the same. One color process is not so straightforward and differentiates from client to client. How can color be a walk in the park? Is there a way to streamline your coloring processes to save time and energy?
One thing to make your life easier is the client interview. Clients know themselves. They know if their hair lifts warm and they want cool. They know if hair is super fragile and needs to be coddled. The client has the power of their own observations.
Another factor is the image change. What if the process is new to the client? If you need to help a client switch things up, there are a few tools to help. Have the client create a vision board on Pinterest or by cutting up magazine pictures. Go through each picture, noting the likes and dislikes of each hairstyle. View how the hair falls to develop a haircut. View the tone and depth of the desired hue. Do a strand test to figure out how your color will react to the hair.
Work with your knowledge. Be persistent in continuing education. With these tools you can figure out the combination of techniques and products to assist your client into finding their vision of themselves to show the world.
